Congratulations TRIgirls. Thanks to you and your awesome team spirit, we won the Great Ball of Fire Award Spirit Award at the I Love the Tavern Race yesterday.
You thanked the volunteers. You supported your teamates. You rocked the course. You cheered for others (TRIgirls and not). You inspired others. You set a great example. You smiled. And, most of all, you had fun.
In addition, a huge congratulations to all the girls who placed today, and brought home hardware. Amy Ford first Place for Rookie Racer -- Can you believe this was her first triathlon??? Go Amy!!! Megan Lankford came in 2nd in her age group, Patty Hill came in 3rd & Jackie Rice also came in 3nd in her age group. New Trigirl Mary Buchanan won the Newton running shoes! What an excellent day!!!

TRIgirl Training Makes the News!
Here's the link to our first ever TRIgirl News. I had tons of fun putting it together. I want to thank everyone for submitting photos. And I'd especially like to thank our guest authors, Jennifer Schooler, Jessica Haddad, Deanna Boehm and Grandison Burnside.

Do you have a race report you'd like to share? How about writing about your first time on the bike, or your first open water swim? How about what it was like to complete your first Olympic distance race, or your first Ironman? If you'd like to write for TRIgirl News or have an idea for a story for someone else to write, just send me an email.

Blossoming

And the day came when the risk it took to remain tight inside the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom. Anais Nin
And blossom they did!
What it is all about:
It is about real people living out dreams.
It is about determination.
It is about people doing this not as much to compete with others, but to simply accomplish something they'd never dreamed they could do before training began.
It is about athletes running in silence thinking “one mile at a time” and it is about teammates carrying one another to the finishline.
It is about bringing to fruition commitment, determination and perseverance.

Thanks for giving me the opportunity to witness from afar your strength and commitment. Each and every one of you.
